Digital Domain

Digital Domain is an American company that manufactures special effects for films, commercials and music videos. The company is based in Venice, California.

Digital Domain was founded by Scott Ross, James Cameron and Stan Winston in 1993 and provided the special effects for such films as Apollo 13, True Lies, Interview with the Vampire and Color of Night. Digital Domains Effects The Curious Case of Benjamin Button for Cameron's film Titanic and David Fincher each received the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. In addition, Digital Domain produced commercials for Nike, Adidas and Toyota and music videos for the Rolling Stones, Nine Inch Nails and Linkin Park. The majority of the special effects in Star Trek: Nemesis ( 2003), as well as some scenes in Transformers have also been produced by Digital Domain.

In 2002, Digital Domain founded a subsidiary, which took over the production and distribution of the award-winning special effects software Nuke.
