Dili tuiduk

The Dilli tüýdük (also Dili tuiduk, düdük dilli, dilli tuyduk, dili tüidük or dilli tüidük; Russian Дилли туйдук ) is a traditional woodwind instrument of Turkmen tube. The single-reed instrument is one of the tube pipes and is closely related to the Turkish Sipsi.

At the upper end of the tube is cut a tongue, which generates the sound. Three or four finger holes are cut at intervals of five to six millimeters in the lower. The range is in accordance with a fifth or sixth, as from g ' to d '' / s ''. The sound is penetrating. Experienced players expand the possibilities of the instrument by over- blowing, drawing the shades, partially covering the finger holes and by forming a resonant cavity of the body with the hands. The traditional Turkmen songs be opened on the Dilli tüýdük with a long tone before the actual melody begins.
