Dimitri Sartison

Dimitri Sartison ( born February 4, 1980 in Rudny, Kazakhstan ) is a German professional boxer and former WBA champion at super middleweight. The native Kazakh lives in Hamburg.

His record as a professional at super middleweight currently has 27 wins in 28 fights on, including 17 by knockout He was also runner-up in 1998 at the Junior.

23 February 2008 Sartison won his 22nd fight against Pablo Daniel Zamora Nievas. Nievas was supposed to fight against Brähmer but it told from two days before the boxing evening. Sartison jumped in and won a successful termination of the ring judge in round 8

22 June 2008 Dimitri Sartison was allowed to fight already at the vacant WBA world championship title at super middleweight. His opponent was Mikkel Kessler, who lost in his previous 40 fights only once, against Joe Calzaghe. Kessler was up to losing to Calzaghe WBA and WBC champion, the WBC belt he won in 2006 against the German former world champion Markus Beyer. The Fight against Sartison dominated Kessler clearly. In the 11th round Mikkel Kessler beat his opponent for the first time to the ground. Clear on points laid back, Dimitri Sartison went into the twelfth and final round knockout. It was the first World Cup and defeat him in his pro career.

On 21 November 2009 he finally won the WBA champion title by TKO in round 6 against the Croat Stjepan Bozic and defended the title on July 31, 2010 by points victory against the Armenians Khoren maneuver.

2011 established Sartison his title due to an injury before a unification bout against WBO champion Robert Stieglitz down. This makes it possible to call directly the current WBA world champion at a later return to the active sport of boxing.

The next fight Sartison denied on April 21, 2012 in Schwerin against Károly Balzsay. He lost the fight by TKO closely running in the 12th round.
