The train station of Dingwall is a separation station where the Kyle of Lochalsh Line branches off from the Far North Line. Here sits the management for both routes. In the station of Dingwall a plaque attached that indicates that here 134 864 sailors and soldiers were supplied with tea in the First World War.

Sports

The Ross County FC, since the 2012/13 season a member of the highest Scottish League in football ( Scottish Premier League), plays its home games from Dingwall.
