Dio – Distraught Overlord

Dio - Distraught Overlord (Japaneseディオ) is an alternative metal and visual kei band from Japan which was founded in 2006 and dissolved in 2010.

History

Dio - Distraught Overlord was founded under the name Baby Santa first 2005. At the time, the band had only four members: Mikaru (Ex - Halicion ) as a singer, Kei ( ex- Kress Devia ) and Erina ( ex- CHELSEA ) on guitar and Ivy (Ex - Grevious ) on electric bass. In the first months Seiya ( ex- light -trap ) played as a drummer before he was replaced by Denka ( ex- Emily ).

On 19 May 2006 she gave at Holiday Shinjuku their first live concert as Dio, the same night, their first single Garasu no Umi was published. In December, followed by the next, Byakuya ni Hana Moyuru. In May 2007, they were able to play their first one-man live concert that was later released as a DVD. The same year she appeared for the first time abroad at Japan Expo in Paris.

2008, released their first mini-album in February, in March, the first European tour of the year took place. While in Japan began work on a single, the band played a one-man live in May and in July a Threeman together with Renter en Soi and SKULL. The Single Carry Dawn was launched in August, in November, the second European tour was organized. In December 2008, she released her first album DICTATOR.

At a concert in July 2009, they announced the departure of guitarist Erina. The last joint concert was held at Shibuya Crescent on September 25. The European tour starting in October was held without Erina. Then the breakup of the band was announced in January 2010.
