Diocesan magazines

Church newspapers are newspapers, published evangelischerseits of the individual state churches, Catholic side of the individual dioceses. They appear weekly on Sunday in the rule.

In 1994, the Catholic Church newspapers together a total circulation of 1.35 million copies, in 2004 there were only around 913,000 (ie: annual decline an average of four per cent). With a total of around 26.5 million German Catholics only four million as active Catholics are the target group for these newspapers.

The evangelical church newspapers have lost in recent years an average of six percent per annum from 700,000 copies to 450,000. In comparison, the national daily newspapers lose an average of two percent per year, the magazines and a half percent support.

From the professionally landscaped church newspapers, the municipality letters or Local messenger, which publishes a parish in runs of a few hundred pieces to differ. The appearance is usually between monthly and semi-annually and is often created in the digital printing process.
