Diocese of Lacedonia

The diocese Lacedonia (Latin: Dioecesis Laquedoniensis ) was a Roman Catholic diocese in Italy, based in Lacedonia (Campania ).

It was built in the 11th century. First of traditional Bishop Desiderius, who is mentioned in 1082. It is known that he had predecessors.

Lacedonia was suffragan of the Archdiocese of Conza. In 1818 the diocese was united with Trevico Lacedonia. On September 30, 1986, the diocese of Ariano Irpino was united to the diocese of Ariano Irpino - Lacedonia.
