Diogo Morgado

Diogo Miguel Morgado Soares ( born January 17, 1981 in Campo Grande, Lisbon ) is a Portuguese model and film actor.

Life

Diogo Morgado was born in Campo Grande, a municipality in the Portuguese capital Lisbon. He has a younger brother named Pedro. The siblings grew up in the Alentejo. Diogos career began in 1995, at the age of 14 years, as a model. In the same year he celebrated in the television series Os Malucos do Riso his debut as an actor. From 1998, he was in 130 episodes of the Daily released to date in Portugal Soap Terra Mãe front of the camera.

To date, Morgado is mainly known in Portugal. He has appeared in numerous television films and series as a main or guest performer, as in the successful telenovelas Laços de Sangue (2010-2011). As the fame he received frequently lead roles, around 2012 in the award-winning thriller A Teia de Gelo of the famous director and actor Nicolau Breyner. In 2013 he played in the miniseries The Bible Jesus of Nazareth. In fact the coupled film Son of God he was also the Son of God before the camera.

Diogo Morgado is currently in a relationship with Sofia Duarte Silva. From a previous relationship with Cátia Oliveira has his son Santiago, who was born on 2 September 2009.
