Son of God is the title of a 2013 film produced Bible. It reconstructs the life and sufferings of Jesus of Nazareth. In the United States, the film starts on 28 February 2014. When will he be in Germany in the cinemas, is still unclear.
The film is the first feature film about Jesus since The Passion of the Christ from the year 2004.

Background
2013 was built under the direction of the Executive Producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey and with the participation of the History Channel, the ten-part miniseries The Bible, in the U.S. reached record rates of up to 13 million viewers per episode in March 2013. In this series the best-known episodes from the Old and New Testaments were reconstructed with the help of game scenes, including in episodes 6-9, the life story of Jesus. This series will be on display at Easter 2014 in Germany on VOX.
Due to the success of the series, Burnett and Downey decided ( embodied in the series also Mary, the mother of Jesus) to bring the life of the carpenter from Nazareth on the big screen. In this common scenes that were not seen in the series, added new and changed slightly to ensure the narrative structure as a two -hour long film.
