Dirk Dier

Dirk Dier ( born February 16, 1972 in St. Ingbert ) is a former German tennis player.

Active in his youth from 1980 when TC Blieskastel and TuS Neunkirchen he was several times German champion. He could even win a Grand Slam title at the Junior 1990 when he graduated from the Australian Open with winning the title as the first German. Training was commander of the former Becker coach Gunther Bosch. His highest world ranking position in his 1990 lasting until 2002 pro career he reached in the spring of 1996, when the came in 118th place. Dier also played for the Bundesliga Green-White Mannheim and the second division Rothenbühl Saarbrücken. Today he is head of a tennis school and since 2007 officially the personal trainer of the German tennis player Anna -Lena Grönefeld and assistant coach of the German Fed Cup team.
