The Disc Description Protocol ( DDP) is a process developed by Doug Carson & Associates file format and de facto standard in the delivery of master data for the reproduction of audio CDs and DVDs.

Upon delivery of data via FTP, the term is used DDPI.

The current versions of the specification are:

  • CD: DDP 2.0
  • DVD: DDP 2:10
  • HD DVD -ROM: DDP 3.0
