District 9, Zürich

The circuit 9 is located in the west of the city district of Zurich. It includes the 1934 eingemeindeten in the neighborhoods Altstetten and Albisrieden.

Although one would expect in a logical format that the circle 9 forms (together with Hoengg and parts Wiedikons ) Zurich West, the term is mainly used for the western part of the industrial district.

History

The circle 9 was created as part of the second incorporation of 1934. He never went through as opposed to the other urban districts and includes a change since its creation changed the formerly independent communities Albisrieden and Altstetten. Noteworthy is the existence of the district Grunau ( Altstetten ), which is however officially recognized by the Statistical Office of the City of Zurich not separately, as it collides with the official nomenclature.
