Diviciacus (Suessiones)
Diviciacus was a prince of the Belgian Suessiones.
As Caesar narrates in his report de bello Gallico, Diviciacus was some time before the Gallic War - perhaps by 80 BC - the most powerful Celtic prince of Gaul. His empire stretched from present-day Belgium, where the ancestral homeland of Suessiones was, from as far as Britain. Apart from the brief mention in Caesar some bronze coins of Diviciacus are still preserved.
