Suessiones

The Suessiones (Latin Suessiones ) were one in the city named after them Suessionum Augusta (now Soissons ) siedelnder Belgian tribe in northern Gaul.

History

Gaius Julius Caesar, according to which gives a brief characterization of the Suessiones in his work de bello Gallico as part of his description of the Gallic War, the territory of the Celtic tribe was particularly fruitful.
