Lyons is one of 150 constituencies, which are used to select the Australian House of Representatives.

The constituency stretches from the east coast of Tasmania to far inland. It covers several places, such as New Norfolk, Deloraine or St Marys.

The constituency was created after the abolition of the constituency Wilmot, 1984 and named after former Australian Prime Minister Joseph Lyons. In the last election won Dick Adams of the Australian Labor Party.
