McMahon is one of 150 constituencies, which are used to select the Australian House of Representatives. It is located in the western part of Sydney in New South Wales.

The constituency comprises the districts of Abbotsbury, Bossley Park, Canley Vale, Cecil Park, Eastern Creek, Edensor Park, Erskine Park, Fairfield, Fairfield Heights, Fairfield West, Greenfield Park, Greystanes, Horsley Park, Kemps Creek, Merrylands West, Mount Vernon, Orchard Hills, Pemulwuy, Prairiewood, Prospect, Smithfield, St Clair and Wetherill Park and parts of Blacktown, Merrylands and Wentworthville South.

The constituency was named after the former Australian Prime Minister William McMahon and created in 2009. It replaced the defunct constituency Prospect.

Chris Bowen of the Australian Labor Party is the first sitting MP of the constituency.
