Action
The scene is Rome, the time the present. Martin and Jane Reynolds have been married for 18 years and have three children. The two-part film tells the story of her separation: first from Martins, then from Jane's perspective.
Martin, a well-paid project manager who lives entirely for his work, Jane, however, for the family. To confrontation occurs when Martin decides to take a job in Africa. He feels his marriage as sadomasochistic hell and finally goes alone to Africa.
When the work again two years later leads him to Rome, he has an affair with Jane's friend, who married Diana Proctor is with her but not happy.
