DJK Waldberg

The DJK forest mountain is a football club based in the Lower Franconian village forest mountain ( district of Rhön - grave field).

History

The club was founded in 1953. In the first almost 35 years of its existence the club played unterklassig. First time in 1993 reached the summit in the national league. There, the club was in the 1998/99 season runner-up, but failed in the rise playing for Bayern league. In the 2000 /01 season, the club withdrew during the season on the game operation and went in the next year in the county league at the start.

Greatest sporting achievement was the qualification for the first main round of the DFB Pokal 1997/98, in which one succumbed to the reigning German champions Bayern Munich with 1:16.
