Dmitri Borodin

Dmitri Vladimirovich Borodin (Russian: Дмитрий Владимирович Бородин; born October 8, 1977 in Leningrad, Soviet Union ) is a Russian football goalkeeper. He currently plays for Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg in the Premjer League.

Career

Association

Dimitri Borodin began in 1998, playing at Lokomotiv Saint Petersburg football. A year later he moved to FC Zenit St. Petersburg, where he was third behind Roman Berezovsky and Vyacheslav Malafejew goalkeeper. In 2002 he moved to Torpedo Moscow and became the regular keeper. It was the end of 2007, however, again, after Ilya Madilow and Maxim Kabanov, the third goalkeeper. Borodin joined shortly thereafter (2008 ) for FK Sibir Novosibirsk, remained there only briefly, because he went to Anzhi Makhachkala. In early 2009 Borodin signed a four year contract with his former club Zenit St. Petersburg played until now only as a loan for the FK Khimki.

National

Dmitri Vladimirovich Borodin was on August 16, 2006 Bank goalkeeper for the Russian national team against Lithuania.

Private life

Dmitri Borodin is married and the father of two sons.
