Dmitri Milchakov

Dsmitry Sjarhejewitsch Miltschakou (White Russian Дзмітрый Сяргеевіч Мільчакоў, Russian Дмитрий Сергеевич Мильчаков / Dmitry Sergeyevich Miltschakow; born March 2, 1986 in Minsk, Byelorussian SSR) is a Belarusian professional ice hockey goaltender who stands since 2010 at Metallurg Zhlobin in the Belarusian Extraliga under contract.

Career

Dsmitry Miltschakou began his career as a hockey player in the junior division of the Swedish top clubs MODO Hockey, in which he was active until 2002. Then the goalkeeper returned to his homeland of Belarus, in which he stood first in the 2002/03 season for the HK Junost Minsk in the Extraliga under contract before he spent with his league rivals HK Dinamo Minsk three years. From 2006 to 2008 he played for HK Vitebsk, before the HK Gomel and Brest HK was ever a season long in the Extraliga between the posts.

For the 2010/11 season changed Miltschakou within the Extraliga for Metallurg Zhlobin, where he developed right away one of the best Torwärte the Extraliga. In the 2011/12 season he won the Belarusian league title with Metallurg Zhlobin. He was voted the best goalkeeper in the Extraliga.

Internationally

For Miltschakou Belarus took part in the U18 World Junior Championships in 2003 and 2004 and the U20 World Junior Championships Division I in 2004 and 2006 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 2005 at junior level. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships in 2008, 2011 and 2012.
