DNA machine

A DNA machine 's Biochemistry and Biophysics, a DNA sequence which was designed to perform a mechanical function. The design of a DNA machine is a variant of rational design.

Properties

The first DNA machine was built in 2000 and had the function of a molecular tweezers. Hybridization partially overlapping complementary DNA strands used to form three-dimensional structures - is in generating a DNA device - similar to DNA origami.

So far, DNA machines have been used for various purposes, eg for the detection of DNA with a detection limit of 0.2 nM, as contractile DNA sequence for the detection of viral DNA on gold nanoparticles or DNA-based catalyst on magnetic particles (English DNAzymes ). Various modifications, the detection limit in the detection of DNA can be lowered to about 8 dc. DNA machines can assume the function of an engine, which leaves a particular DNA sequence.
