Dobloug Prize

The Doblougpreis (Norwegian: Doblougprisen; Swedish: Doblougska priset ) is an award of Svenska Academies of Fine Literature and Literary Studies. The prize is awarded each to a Swede and a Norwegian annually.

History

The price in 1938 was testament donated by the Norwegian philanthropist Birger Dobloug and is therefore also named after him. 1951, the first awards ceremony took place. The prize is endowed with 2 * 150 000 Swedish crowns. Among the previous winners find names like Herman Wildenvey, Paal Brekke, Lars Gyllensten, Paal -Helge Haugen, Kåre Holt, Rolf Jacobsen, Sven Lindqvist, Hans Herbjørnsrud, Bjørg Vik Bertil Malmberg or.
