Dodrans

The Dodrans is a bronze coin that was minted during the time of the Roman Republic.

The Dodrans played no major role in the coinage of the Romans. Its value is 9 Unciae. This value is made up of the three pellets, which can be seen on the lapel (each value represents a ball Uncia ) and the sign "S", which can be found on the Semisses. The "S " stands for half ace, so for 6 Unciae.

Overall, only two types were found by Dodrans so far, all of which were coined around the year 125 BC. The first coinage took place under the moneyer Marcus Caecilius Metellus, the second under Gaius Cassius Parmensis. After that, the minting of this Notional Amount has been set.

The obverse is seen in all types looking to the right bust of the volcano, wearing a cap and has lorbeerbekränzte pliers over the shoulder; on the lapel of a right-pointing Prora about it is the name of the mint master, including " Roma ". Before Prora are the stamps.
