Doepfer
The Doepfer Music Electronics GmbH is a manufacturer of electronic musical instruments and accessories from Graefelfing, founded by Dieter Doepfer. The product range includes analog and modular synthesizers, MIDI controllers, MIDI sequencer, MIDI-to-CV/Gate/Sync interfaces, MIDI master keyboards and other MIDI devices.
History
Dieter Doepfer began the development of music hardware with a Voltage Controlled Phaser (VCP ) for the formant, an analog synthesizer from the DIY Elektor Magazine (1977). This was followed by many modular synthesizer and MIDI hardware on the Doepfer concentrated in the 1980s.
1992 drove the Doepfer Music Electronics GmbH MIDI analog sequencer MAQ16 / 3, which was developed jointly with the band Kraftwerk. In the early days of the company, she worked directly with interested musicians in the development of the hardware.
