The Dokumental GmbH & Co. KG writing colors is a manufacturer of inks and writing fluids, headquartered in Ludwigshafen am Rhein. With over 60 years experience in the development and production of ink colors Dokumental is the global leader and exports its products in approximately 100 countries worldwide.

History

The history of Dokumental dates back to 1952 when the company " Mittenwald chemistry" was founded in Bavaria Mittenwald. The Dokumental was created in 1992 from the merger with based in Ludwigshafen IKF (industrial adhesives and paints ). This created the leading global provider of inks and writing fluids. The market position through the acquisition of National Ink Ltd.. further expanded in 2010. In the same year, the Shanghai Dokumental Ink Co. Ltd. was. founded in order to offer products specifically for the growing Asian market.

In 2001 Dokumental was certified according to ISO 9001. 2013 was followed by the award as a "known consignor " and " regulated agent " of the German Federal Aviation Office. In February 2014 Dokumental finally achieved certification as an Authorised Economic Operator by the AEO certificate " Customs Simplifications / Security" (AEO -F).

Locations

Ludwigshafen am Rhein is home to the management and location of production, marketing, sales, technical service, quality assurance and research and development. However, the location in the Bavarian town of Mittenwald, which has its own quality control and technical service is still an important part of production. While in Ludwigshafen predominantly ballpoint ink and solvent based inks are prepared, the focus is in the middle of the forest on the production of water-soluble inks.

The Shanghai Dokumental Ink supplies the Asian market with water-based solutions. To increase the efficiency of the supply chain in Asia, the Chinese branch also acts as a warehouse for ink "Made in Germany".

To ensure the customer service in North and South America and Southeast Asia, to further sales offices in San Diego and Singapore.

Product portfolio

Dokumental offers its customers tailor-made solutions for the matching of inks and writing device components. The product portfolio of Dokumental divided into the areas of writing, marking, highlighting and Colouring.

For writing area include ballpoint pen pastes and inks for Fineliner, gel pens, rollerball pens and fountain pens.

The segment of the Markings includes the ink production of permanent ink pens and wipe-clean whiteboard marker, the more frequently are used in public institutions and private organizations. Other components of this product range are solutions for special pens and t-shirt marker.

In the context of highlighting product line inks are developed, which we find in highlighters. Text markers are classically used to highlight certain elements of a document or significant sections of a text color.

The Colouring portfolio includes a wide range of colors of inks for Faserstife as well as a wide range of different colored specialty inks for the production of writing utensils of every kind, such as color-changing or erasable ink innovations.
