Dombyra Party

Dombyra Party ( Kazakh: Домбыра Party, Домбыра пати ) is based on flash mob movement of the Kazakh young people with the aim of the national music instruments, in particular to popularize Dombyra again. The movement has no political background.

The Dombyra parties are mostly organized in the streets, pedestrian zones and parks of many cities in Kazakhstan, such as Astana, Almaty, Shymkent and Atyrau. At the weekly sessions, attendees play the Kazakh musical instruments or sing songs that are accompanied with Dombyra. One of the peculiarities of Dombyra parties is to show that anyone can learn the Dombyraspielen without musical training and must join the movement.

Invitations to parties Dombyra be shipped via social networks like Facebook and Twitter. The video recordings are disseminated to the media video portals and social. There is a Facebook group where users can discuss organizational issues.

History

The Dombyra parties have initiated Kazakh bloggers who are users of the " KerekInfo " platform in 2012. The first event was held in Astana on August 12. Since then, the Dombyra parties were held in almost every major city in Kazakhstan, but also in cities like Berlin, Istanbul and London.
