Dominik Schröder

Dominik Schröder SVD ( born September 4, 1910 in Eiweiler, † December 25, 1974 ) was a German ethnologist and Mongolist. He worked at the Anthropos Institute in Fribourg / Switzerland. He conducted research among other things to the population of Kham, where the oral folk literature of the Monguor formed a focal point. The chapter on folklore from the Xikang tujing Ren Naiqiang任乃强he translated into German.

The posthumous publication of key components from Schroeder's estate was conducted by Walther Heissig, Bonner Professor of Central Asian Studies, and the Divine Word anthropologist Anton Quack SVD.
