Dominique Taboga (2009)
Dominique Taboga ( born November 6, 1982 in Vienna ) is a retired Austrian football player at the position of a defender.
Career
Youth
Taboga began his active career as a football player in 1987 in the youth teams of the ASV oven Binder spatters. After four years, he became the SKN St. Pölten (then VSE St. Pölten ) is awarded. From January to June 1997 he was a youth player of the Vfb Admira Wacker Mödling, before joining SK Rapid Vienna in July of the same year. When he trained Rapid together with Andreas Ivanschitz, but not made it into the first team. After three years at Rapid he returned again in 2000 back to SKN St. Pölten. In 2001 he moved finally to the Kremser SC, whose men's team from 2002 he moved to Styria to his first professional station the DSV Leoben in the towns of Leoben.
First stations as a professional
His professional debut at DSV Leoben in the second-class Austrian first division he gave on 25 July 2003 in a 1-0 away win against SC Untersiebenbrunn as he stood the entire game on the court. For the first goal as a professional football player, he was on his third deployment on 13 September 2003 when he scored the 1-0 goal in a 4-0 home victory over FC Wacker Innsbruck.
After more than four years at the Donawitzern and total of 61 league inserts and four goals, he moved during the 2006/07 season in the Styria Kapfenberg SV, in which, after his contract signing, he completed his club debut only two days. From this game, he was a regular in the Kapfenberg defensive line and later became captain of his team. A special feature of Tabogas play are its extremely wide throw-ins that when they go to the penalty box often apply, as of assists. Simply by Tabogas distance objections were able to achieve more league goals his team-mates.
At the end of the 2007/ 08 Taboga rose with the team in the top flight on in Austrian football. His debut in the Austrian Bundesliga he was on 9 July 2008 in the 0-1 home defeat against LASK Linz. In the 2008 /09 season scoring Taboga four goals, three of them headed goal.
Tromsø IL
After the season Taboga got an offer from the Norwegian Tippeligaen club Tromsø IL, whereupon he flew with his wife Nicole for five days on trial to Tromso. After his return he was very optimistic to get a contract with Tromsø Idrettslag, where the club itself still did not make any decision because you wanted to sell a defender from his own team before you promised Taboga. So began the Taboga Norwegian club a deadline, but inconclusive due to expire on 19 June 2009.

In interviews, he stated that he would continue to hold the Kapfenberg SV loyalty, and that expected but no change was planned. Having already played one game in the season 2009/10, Taboga changed on 25 July 2009 to the day, six years after his pro debut, but for Tromsø IL in Norway. About the transfer fee was not disclosed, but Taboga should be transferred, would Kapfenberg SV collect one more time. Tabogas contract with Tromsø IL ended on 31 December 2012.
His team debut was August 27, 2009 in the fourth and final Europa League qualifying round match against Athletic Bilbao, which ended in a 1-1 draw. In the game Taboga came on in the 90th minute for Hans Åge Yndestad. To his debut in the Tippeligaen he came in the 0-2 away defeat against Sandefjord Fotball where he was the total playing time on the court on 13 September 2009.
Leihweiser change back to Kapfenberg
In the summer before the season 2010/11 the central defender moved for one year on loan back to SV Kapfenberg. The former captain of the Obersteirer had at the same time also lie two or three offers from other clubs, but opted for Kapfenberg, because he got the first offer of this. After another season and relegation from the Bundesliga, he joined the new league rivals of KSV, the SV Grödig.
Due to the betting scandal around Dominique Taboga the Austrian Bundesliga saying the end of February 2014 a lifetime ban in all functions of the fallen defender.
Achievements
Allegations of fraud
On November 27, 2013 Taboga was arrested and detained in an alleged match-fixing scandal. He is suspected of fraud in connection with match-fixing, furthermore is determined against him for embezzlement. On February 19, 2014, he was so disabled for life in the Bundesliga.
