Ivanschitz [ i.van.ʃɪt͡s ] (* October 15, 1983 in Eisenstadt, Burgenland) is an Austrian football player.

Association

Youth in Baumgarten and Vienna

His athletic career began Ivanschitz the football club of his hometown Baumgarten. He joined in February 1998 with 14 years in the youth department of the SK Rapid Wien. National

His debut in the Austrian national team was Ivanschitz on 26 March 2003 against Greece under the then Austrian team boss Hans Krankl. In the European Championship qualifier against the Czech Republic on 11 October 2003, he first wore the captain's loop and is therefore 19 years and 361 days, the youngest ÖFB national team captain in postwar history.
