IK Brage Dalkurd FF

Domnarvsvallen is a sports stadium in the Swedish city of Borlänge. The stadium is used by the local football clubs IK Brage and Dalkurd FF to target their home matches.

History

At the beginning of the 20th century, football has developed into one of the greatest sports in Borlänge. Finding an optimal venue was for the individual football teams quickly becoming one of the biggest problems. Therefore, in 1923 started the construction of a new stadium. As workers for the construction of Domnarvsvallen students of industrial school and unemployed Södra Sveriges Statsbanor were used.

Parallel to the stadium had teamed up with Domnarvets GoIF and IK Blixt 1923 two of the strongest local teams. This compound did not last long and some of the players was involved in the April 7, 1925 in the founding of IK Brage. The club was henceforth its home games in the newly opened stadium in the founding year, and since he became a footballing figurehead of the city, the stadium underwent several seasons first and second division football. After the emigrants club Dalkurd FF had played in the higher-class football, he also moved for its home games at the stadium.

Stadium

Domnarvsvallen currently offers nearly 6,500 spectators. Three of the four stands are made of seats, only the West Stand holds 1,020 spectators only to standing room. The record crowd of 14,200 trailer was reached in 1965 when compared with GAIS. Apart from the actual stadium still exist two smaller grass fields.
