Domnitz is a district of the city of Wettin - Löbejün in the northern Saale district, in Saxony -Anhalt, Germany.

Geography

Domnitz northwest of Halle, southeast of rounders and west of Löbejün. Immediately south of the village begins the Bach roach, which flows north to Dalena and then flows to the west, until the coming of Dornitz Sixbach opens. Then the roach leaves the district and flows north to the Fuhne.

History

The village was mentioned in the early Middle Ages as Dohmnitz. The Domnitzer Volunteer Fire Department was founded in January 1862.

On 1 January 2011 the municipalities of cities Löbejün and Wettin and the communities Brachwitz, Döblitz, Domnitz, Gimritz, Nauen village, Neutz - Lettewitz, roach and Rothenburg, who had previously teamed in the administrative community hall county north were the new city Wettin - Löbejün summarized.
