Don Julio

Tequila Don Julio is the name of a distillery that produces tequila same name, which is one of the best and reasonably priced upscale versions of the Mexican national drink. The drink is produced in the usual varieties Blanco, Reposado and Añejo and under the designations 1942 and Real. The name commemorates 1942 with a limited edition of the year in which Don Julio González began the production of tequila. Since the tequila is stored in 1942 at least two and a half years in an oak barrel, it belongs to the species of añejo. The tequila with the name Real is stored in a white oak barrel between three and five years and therefore belongs to the sort of extra añejo.

Don Julio González has been a lifetime striving to improve its tequila and meticulously cared about every aspect, from the cultivation of the agave to the bottling of the finished product. The tradition was able to report that Don Julio Tequila has initially produced only in small quantities to enjoy it together with friends in friendly company. As, however, had spread far beyond the borders of his friends and acquaintances, as well tasted his tequila and he was approached by more and more foreign people insist he finally felt called to found his own distillery. This he gave the name of La Primavera. It was the predecessor of the now named after him Tequila Don Julio, SA de C.V. based in Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco.

The cheaper Mixto version of the company is the Tequila Tres Magueyes, only to at least 51 % of Agavezucker and max. 49 % from other sugar additives exists, such as the well-known in Germany from Sierra Tequila Mixto.
