Donald Kaberuka

Donald Kaberuka ( born October 5, 1951 in Byumba, Rwanda ) is a Rwandan economist, development expert and president of the African Development Bank.

Life

Kaberuka has been working for a decade as an economist.

In October 1997, he was appointed Minister of Economic Affairs of Rwanda. In his eight years in office, he helped stabilize the national economy after the 1994 genocide significantly.

Since July 2005 he has been elected president of the African Development Bank.
