Donald Kuspit

Donald B. Kuspit ( born March 26, 1935 in New York) is an American art critic and scientist.

Life

After studies at Columbia University ( BA) and Yale (MA) in 1960 he received his doctorate at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main in philosophy. He completed a second thesis in 1971 at the University of Michigan in art history from. Kuspit taught, inter alia, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the State University of New York at Stony Brook. From 1991 to 1997 he was also AD White Professor at Large at Cornell University. In 1983, Kuspit for his art-critical work the Frank Jewett Mather Award of the College Art Association.

In addition to his academic and curatorial activities Kuspit has also published several volumes of poetry.
