Donato Felice d'Allio

Donato Felice d' Allio ( born October 24, 1677 Scaria in the vicinity of Lake Como, † May 6, 1761 in Vienna) was an Austrian architect of the Baroque.

Life

Donato Felice d' Allio began in 1690 as a bricklayer in his homeland. Around 1698 he came as a journeyman to Vienna, was later polishing and then worked as a master mason in Vienna. From 1711 to 1747 he was employed by the military building department, where he created reports and expert opinions, for example, about the military admissibility of civil buildings.

Due to its structural knowledge he was called at the same time numerous private construction sites. He worked among others also on behalf of the Archbishop of Esztergom Count Imre Esterházy.

In 1913 in Vienna, Rudolf -Fuenfhaus ( 15th district ) was named the Alliogasse after him.
