Donato Sabia

Donato Sabia ( born September 11, 1963 in Potenza ) is an Italian former sprinter and middle-distance runner.

At the World Athletics Championships 1983 in Helsinki, he retired about 800 m from the lead and came up with the Italian team in the 4 x 400 - meter relay team to fifth place.

In 1984 he won at the Indoor Athletics Championships in Gothenburg gold over 800 m. At the Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he was about 800 m and reached fifth place in the 4 x 400 - meter relay the semifinals.

Also about 800 m, it was at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul seventh.

Three times he was Italian champion over 800 m (1983, 1984, 1988 ) and once over 400 m ( 1984). In the hall he took in 1984 and 1989 the national title in the 400m.
