Dongning County

Dongning County (东 宁县; Pinyin: Dongning Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture-level city of Mudanjiang to the southeast of Heilongjiang province in the People's Republic of China. It has an area of 7368 km ² and has 210,000 inhabitants. Its main town is the large village Dongning (东 宁 镇) just a few kilometers from the Russian border. The river Suifen He (绥芬河) flows through Dongning.

The Wupaishan - site ( Wupai shan Chengzhi五 排 山城 址) of the city from the time of the Warring States Period to Han Dynasty and the Dongning -Fort Japanese invasion forces ( Qin Hua Rijun dongbei yaosai侵华 日军 东北 要塞) are since 2006 on the list of monuments of the people's Republic of China.
