Dongqing Dam

The Dongqing Dam is a dam on the CFR Beipan on the border of the circles Zhenning and Zhenfeng, 20 km northeast of the county town of Zhenfeng in the Chinese province of Guizhou. The 150 m high dam accumulates a reservoir of 955 million cubic meters and owns a 880 - MW hydroelectric power plant with four turbines, each with 220 MW capacity. The construction began in 2005, the river was diverted in 2006, dammed the reservoir since 2009 and started the first generator in the same year in operation.
