Doom WAD

WAD ( Where's All the Data Sheet ) is a file format. The WAD format was used in the 90s to describe the level of the first first-person shooter, which is based on the Doom or Quake engine. Well-known games that use WAD, are Doom, Call of Duty, Grand Prix 4, Half-Life, Quake and Tomb Raider.

Today the " WAD " file format is also used for the " 3D Game Studio " as textures file format.

On the Nintendo Wii, the WAD format used to create and installation of so-called Custom Channels. These represent Wii Channels Homebrew dar.
