Dorena is a settlement which belongs to the Unincorporated Community any community. Dorena is located in Mississippi County in the southeast of the U.S. state of Missouri. It is located at the intersection of Missouri State Route 77 with the Missouri State Route 102 about 21 km southeast of the town of East Prairie.

The town was founded in 1899 and is named after the slang term for Doreen money. About Regional importance Dorena received by the ferry across the Mississippi to Hickman in the neighboring state of Kentucky. It is also the only ferry between Missouri and Kentucky.
