Dorjana Å irola

Dorjana Širola ( born June 9, 1972) is a Croatian quiz player, linguist and Anglizistin.

Quiz

Sirola won one of only a few foreigners to University Challenge (UC ) in 2002 as members of Somerville College, Oxford University. She was at the official Quiz World Championship for six consecutive years, from 2005 to 2011, the best-placed women worldwide, with an outstanding sixth place overall in 2005. Though in 2012 the Scottish elite player, Anne Hegerty ( cf. The Chase, English articles ) subject, it is regarded as the current best player of the world quiz competition, which mainly is due to the team's success.

2011 and 2012 she won the quiz European Championship with the club team " Europalia " (with Holger forest Berger ( Deu. ), the Norwegian champion Thomas Kolasaeter and the Dutch double Master Derk de Graaf, the first international medals a woman at IQA events. 2012 won they also EM bronze in doubles with Holger Berger forest. ( at the World Cup only singles is played ).

Linguistics

She received her B. A. at the University of Zagreb in 1996, she obtained her Master of Philosophy at Cambridge University in 1998 and her Dr. of Philosophy in 2005 at the University of Oxford.
