Dorothea Brandt

Dorothea Brandt ( born March 5, 1984 in Bremervörde ) is a German swimmer and starts in the disciplines of freestyle and breast, especially over the sprint distances.

Dorothea Brandt is German Champion 2010 over 50m freestyle and 50m breaststroke. She is a multiple German champion on the short track on the 50 m freestyle distance. By November 2012 she was active spokesperson in the DSV.

Career

Dorothea Brandt trained in Hamburg with Sandra Völker, before she moved to Berlin in 2003 to SG Neukölln. Here she trained at Norbert Warnatzsch. After her missed Olympic qualification in 2012 she moved to the Ruhr Valley SG Essen.

With the short course seasons over 4x50 m freestyle and 4x50 m medley Dorothea Brandt has swum four German records, last on 14 December 2007 at the European Championships. She belonged to the German team for the first time at the Olympic Games 2004. Besides swimming, she studied business administration at the TFH Berlin dual
