List of German records in swimming

German swimming records are the bests German swimmer in one of the competitive strokes freestyle, breast, back, butterfly or Medley. German records are separated for men and women for various distances on the long (50 m ) and on the short course (25 m) by the German Swimming Federation recognized.

A German swimming record can only be installed in an advertised competition event (for example, a German Swimming Championships, a European swimming championship, a swimming World Cup or the Olympics ) or alone. In the latter case, the record attempt before being publicly announce.
