Dorothea Macheiner
Dorothea Macheiner ( born March 21, 1943 as Dorothea Hummel Brunner in Linz ) is an Austrian writer.
Life
Dorothea Macheiner grew up in Steinbach am Attersee. After studying theology and German, from which she graduated with the degree of Master of Theology, she made numerous trips in the Mediterranean and held a long time in Sardinia and Tunisia. In 1979 she took part in Klagenfurt at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition. Today she works as a freelance writer in Salzburg and Vienna.
Dorothea Macheiner is the author of novels, essays, poems, plays and radio plays.
Dorothea Macheiner is a member of Graz Writers meeting, the Austrian PEN Clubs, the Austrian Writers' Association ( Austrians ) and IG authors authors. She was among other things 1978, a state scholarship for literature in Austria, in 1985 and 2006, an annual scholarship Literar - Mechana, 1989 Rome Fellowship of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Sports and in 1990 a scholarship promotion of Salzburg.
