Dorze people

The Dorze are a small ethnic group with about 28,000 members in Ethiopia.

Their language, Dorze, one of the Omotischen languages. They live mainly in the south of the country in villages around Chencha and Arba Minch in the district Semien Omo, part of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region. Some Dorze have migrated to Addis Ababa and other regions. A substantial employment of many Dorze consists in weaving.
