Location of Dößel in Wettin - Löbejün

Dößel is a district of the city of Wettin - Löbejün and was an independent municipality in the northern Saale district, in Saxony -Anhalt ( Germany ). To 10.24 km ² lived 351 inhabitants ( 31 December 2007). On 1 July 2008 Dößel was incorporated into the city of Wettin, which was incorporated into Wettin - Löbejün turn on 1 January 2011.

History

Dobis

As Dobutz the place was already around 1370th until the 18th century bore the name Dobis Dobitz. Up to the time of the Thirty Years' War was fought in Dobis slate and mined copper.

Dößel

First written evidence of the place can be found in the 14th century.

Shaft Mount

The small village of bay mountain emerged as Zechenhaus of coal mining in the region to Wettin.

From the deserted village Denitz between bay and mountain Wettin are no more remains are visible.
