Double-Degree

The double degree or double degree describes a program under international universities in which the student receives two degrees conferred by a parallel study of two academic institutions. A typical double degree is the Double Degree.

Expiration

The student is enrolled usually at a university in a degree program and completed while studying a degree in the same or a similar discipline at another university. Usually this is based on a semester abroad at a partner university. Both universities recognize this each other's academic performance and therefore provide separately an academic degree.

In this way, for example, the Bachelor of Arts degree awarded by a German university, in addition to the Bachelor of Business Administration is awarded by the partner school. Both universities recognize the respective modules for their own courses of study offered without two individual courses must be fully completed.

As with a bachelor's degree, it is also in the master 's degree programs. Thus, a two-semester study abroad at West Virginia University is among others the University of Fulda in the three-semester program in International Management included. The double degree consists here of the Master of Arts in German and a Master of Business Administration from the partner university abroad.
