Dover (Band)

The Spanish rock band Dover was founded in 1992 by the sisters Cristina and Amparo Llanos in a suburb of Madrid. In 1995, Dover, influenced by the grunge scene in Seattle and especially Nirvana, their first album called Sister on the market that bad but sold.

With the follow-up album Devil Came To Me they made ​​the breakthrough: It sold over half a million copies and made her famous in Spain. The following albums have sold well: The Los Angeles recorded I was dead for seven weeks in the City of Angels in 2001 reached immediately the top of the Spanish charts, and also in other parts of Europe, especially in Germany was the group, not least through tours, increasingly popular. Among the opening acts of the group includes, among others, Muff Potter and the fellow She- Male Trouble.

With the 2006 released album Follow the City Lights Dover beat a musical style change. The band moved from Grunge/Rock- in the pop field and used on their new album, many synthesizers effects. The album was produced in the PKO Studios by Daniel Alcover and the band itself. The first single from the Let Me Out reached # 1 in the Spanish charts.
