Downset, the publications also Downset. written, is a crossover band from the USA. It was formed in Los Angeles from the hardcore band Social Justice.
Style
Downset mix hip- hop and funk with Hardcore and Metal. Characteristics are socially critical texts that refer to the situation in the so-called ghetto and in particular the riots in Los Angeles regarding 1992. There is commonly a degree of similarity to Rage Against The Machine.
Band History
In 1994 Down Sets untitled debut album. This album contained the most well-known song Anger. After 1994, they made four of further since Rogelio Lozano resigned from the band. Her second album from 1996 called Do We Speak a Dead Language?. Here they went a bit harder to work.
1998 rose from the drummer and continued to work with Adema. Then Chris Hamilton joined the band and took the part of Chris Lee. 2000 Down Sets third album Check Your People was published. Shortly after, Chris Lee returned to the band. 2004 came with universal their fourth album on the market. Meanwhile Senor Rico Valli is on bass here.
In the summer of 2013 Downset played with a changed line-up a few concerts and released a new single called Forgotten.
