Dragan Travica

Dragan Travica (Serbian: Драган Травица; born August 28, 1986 in Zagreb, SFR Yugoslavia ) is an Italian volleyball player.

Career

Dragan Travica is the son of Yugoslav coach Ljubomir Travica. He began his career in 2000 in the offspring of Sisley Treviso. 2002/2003 he played at third division Sira Falconara before he was hired by the first division Pallavolo Modena. After a year in the second division at Premier Hotels Crema he came in 2006 to also unterklassigen Team Sparkling Milano, with which he, however, succeeded in becoming the following year. On 11 November 2007, the setter debuted in the Italian national team. 2008/2009 he was again active in Modena, before moving to Acqua Paradiso Monza. In 2011 he reached the final of the European Championship with Italy. Then he came to his present club Lube Macerata. There he won the Italian championship in its first season. In 2012, he won with the national team at the Olympic Games in London, the bronze medal. Travica switched to the 2013/14 season to the Russian club Lokomotiv VK - Belogorje and won with the team the Champions League.
